Oakever's cat-Sudoku puzzle Meowdoku reached #3 on the combined US free chart with two other sort-puzzle games in the top 6, Netflix Game Controller held #1 a second day as ChatGPT slid to #3 and the top spot settled into a three-app rotation, hololive Dreams claimed #1 on both Japan App Store and Google Play grossing while staying gone from the US free chart, the microdrama cohort rose again with six apps climbing together, and Paramount+ climbed to #22 leading a streaming pack that held its weekend gains into Monday.

Meowdoku climbed to #3 overall as sort-puzzle games crowded the top of the combined chart

On the combined US free chart that mixes apps and games, Meowdoku! sat at #3 this morning (Jul 27, 03:01 UTC), behind only Netflix Game Controller and ChatGPT. Two more sort-puzzle games flanked it: Block Out at #4 and Smash Fest at #6, with Roblox at #5 making it four games in the top six. A fourth sort-puzzle title, Magic Sort, held #22. Apple's separate Games chart has had Block Out #1 and Meowdoku #2 frozen at the top for a week (AppStoreStatistics, Jul 27 06:00 UTC); the combined view shows how completely that wave now dominates download velocity overall.

Netflix Game Controller held #1 a second day as the top spot became a three-app rotation

Netflix Game Controller held #1 on Apple's US free apps chart for a second straight morning (Jul 26-27), per anerg's Jul 27 06:13 UTC snapshot, climbing two slots as ChatGPT fell two to #3. TikTok Pro - Events held #2 between them. The top spot has now rotated through three apps since the World Cup final: ChatGPT (Jul 21-24), TikTok Pro (Jul 25), and Netflix Game Controller (Jul 26-27). No single app has held #1 for more than four days this month.

hololive Dreams hit #1 on both Japan stores' grossing while the US free chart still buries it

hololive Dreams, the first official hololive mobile game from Cover Corp and CyberAgent's QualiArts, claimed #1 on both the Japan App Store and Google Play grossing charts this morning (Jul 27, 09:30 JST), the first time it topped both stores simultaneously. It had held #1 on Google Play since Jul 25 and #2 on iOS; today it overtook eFootball for the App Store crown. Cover Corp (<5253>) and CyberAgent (<4751>) both rose on the Tokyo market on the dual #1. Cover marked the milestone by gifting players 2,500 red diamonds.

The microdrama cohort rose again: DramaBox held #4 while six rivals climbed together

DramaBox held #4 on Apple's US free chart (anerg Jul 27) for a second day, and the broader short-drama cohort climbed with it. PineDrama jumped 17 to #33, DramaWave rose 15 to #43, VibeShort climbed 5 to #29, ReelShort rose 4 to #53, StoryReel climbed 3 to #37, and NetShort rose 4 to #74. Six microdrama apps moving up together is the signature of a coordinated paid-acquisition burst, the same mechanic that pushed DramaBox 37 spots to #3 on Jul 25.

Paramount+ climbed to #22 and led a streaming pack that held its weekend gains into Monday

Paramount+ climbed 15 slots to #22 on Apple's US free chart (anerg Jul 27), extending the weekend streaming-app rise into Monday morning rather than reverting. The cluster moved together: HBO Max jumped 23 to #61, Tubi rose 14 to #56, Roku climbed 17 to #42, Prime Video rose 11 to #49, VIZIO rose 11 to #50, and Peacock rose 8 to #59. Seven TV apps climbing in lockstep through a weekend and holding into the start of the week is a seasonal pattern, not a single catalyst.
